Employment Gold Card (就業金卡)
Employment Gold Card is a residence route in Taiwan (Erwerbstätigkeit). 4-in-1 open work permit/ARC/visa/re-entry for professionals in 13 fields, e.g. monthly salary ≥NTD 160,000 or specific expertise; 1–5 yrs, no employer needed. Dependants get visitor visas/ARCs. Gov fees ~NTD 12,000 for family.
Requirements at a glance
You need an annual income of about CHF 48'000. There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 3 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.
How holders are taxed
Resident 183 days; first 3 yrs 50% of salary above NTD 3m exempt; overseas income only via AMT if >NTD 1m.
