Temporary Residence – Dependant (Amparo) is a residence route in Ecuador (Family). Spouse/partner, children and dependants of a resident or Ecuadorian; status follows sponsor. Spouses of Ecuadorians can apply for permanent residence directly.
Requirements at a glance
You must spend about 275 days a year in the country to keep it. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 2 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.

Resident >183 days: worldwide income (to 37%); foreign income already taxed abroad generally exempt; 5% ISD exit tax on outbound transfers
