Start-up Entrepreneur Programme (STEP) is a residence route in Ireland (Entrepreneur). €50,000 funding (savings, loans, VC, angel or state grant) for a High Potential Start-Up: innovative product, ≥10 jobs and €1m sales within 3–4 yrs, HQ in Ireland, <5 yrs old. Committee approval; €350 application fee; 2 yrs then 3-yr renewal.

Requirements at a glance

The minimum qualifying investment is about CHF 47'000. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 5 years.
