Employment Residence Permit (إقامة عمل)
Employment Residence Permit is a residence route in Qatar (就業). Employer-sponsored work visa and RP (1–3 yrs); medical, fingerprints, QID. Since 2020 reforms no exit permit / NOC needed to change jobs. Lapses after >6 months continuous absence.
Requirements at a glance
You must spend about 180 days a year in the country to keep it. Permanent residence: after 20 years.
How holders are taxed
No personal income tax on salary.
