UK Ancestry visa is a residence route in United Kingdom (Härkomst). Age 17+, grandparent born in UK (incl. Channel Islands, IoM, pre-1922 Ireland), able and intending to work, self-supporting. Fee ~£700 pp + IHS £1,035/adult/yr. ILR after 5 yrs (consultation proposes keeping 5).
Requirements at a glance
There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included. Permanent residence: after 5 years. Citizenship can be possible after about 6 years.
