Remote Work Visa is a residence route in South Africa (عشایر دیجیتال). Employed by/contracted to a foreign employer; gross income ≥ZAR 1,000,000/yr (Minister's threshold in final May 2024 regulations; Feb 2024 draft had ZAR 650,976); medical cover, police clearance. Created by Immigration Regulations amendment May 2024, operational from 2025. Dependants via accompanying visas. DHA fee ZAR 1,520 per applicant.

You need an annual income of about CHF 45'000. There is no minimum stay to keep the permit. Spouse and children can usually be included.
